Marcelo is world champion at the IBJJF, multiple medalist at the Brasileiros, silver medalist at the European Championships in both gi and no-gi, and ACBJJ champion. Link in bio or at the door 🚪 Marcelo Fausto was born on November 20, 2000 in São Vicente, Brazil. As a child, Marcelo was introduced to judo by his father, but he didn't like it and quit quickly. He then tried jiu-jitsu and found that it suited him better. Around the age of 10, he started training seriously at Checkmat BJJ, under coach “Tio Chico” (Valdir Canuto). Marcelo moved to another Checkmat gym for his blue belt and started training at The House, a renowned academy. Under the guidance of Thiago Abreu and Gabriel Rollo, Marcelo became more serious about jiu-jitsu. In 2017, he competed in the IBJJF World Championships and won gold the following year. His career grew steadily, and he was promoted to black belt on February 26, 2021.
